Last weekend we travelled a few hours in the car to a town on the south coast of Western Australia to attend a family wedding (I will post on the wedding menu later). We were lucky enough to use a friend's apartment on the canals.
Right next to the apartments, was the restored buildings from one of the first farms in the state. The first photo is of the workers cottage followed by the old homestead built in 1832.
Just a short walk down the riverbank we discovered that the circus was in town. It was very interesting to watch the goings on during our morning walk - performers practicing and kids running around .It was a magical weekend. But now it is back to the brown paddocks of home to start harvest.
